Terms of Service

1. The service

Shlokah is a subscription writing service that analyzes writing samples you provide and generates or rewrites text in a style derived from them. Output is produced by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose — you are responsible for reviewing anything before you use or publish it.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Shlokah.

3. Your writing stays yours

You retain all rights to the writing samples you upload and to the text Shlokah generates for you. By uploading samples you grant us only the limited license needed to operate the service for you: storing your samples, analyzing them, and sending relevant excerpts to our AI model providers to produce your output.

We do not sell your writing, use it to train our own models, or show it to other users. You can delete your samples and style profile at any time from Settings, and deleting your data removes it from our database.

4. Acceptable use

You may only upload writing you have the right to use. Do not upload someone else's writing to imitate them without their consent, and do not use Shlokah to deceive, defraud, harass, or impersonate any person, to produce academic work where AI assistance is prohibited, or for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Shlokah includes a limited free allowance so you can evaluate it; continued use beyond that allowance requires a paid subscription. Plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that generated text is original, error-free, or indistinguishable from your own writing.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your samples and style profile are deleted in accordance with our data practices.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
